GREEN STONE MILITARY ACADEMY

"Although the training system plays an important part in all the organisations, it is still rare to any environmental protection organisation like Green Stone putting so much emphasis on the training program."

----comments of a participator

Environmental issue is a world wide problem, more and more youth in China are involved in this field, especially high educated students on the campus. Without sufficient professional NGO in China, the students are lack of resources and directions. Thay are eager to do something but no one tells them what to do and how to do.

In order to go out of the jam, we decide to establish a integated training system. The courses range from the enviromental enthnics to cooperation in a group.

"Green Stone military academy", the name of our training program, is designed from the green students devoted to the green career. The graduates should service in either green stone or the environmental group in his university for at least half a year.

The courses offer a general view of environmental movement among the youth in China. We invite experienced professionals in their respective fields as our instructors to ensure the instructional value of the training.

And in China the green students are somewhat strange in the eyes of the majority, even including their friends and parents. This training gives the participators a good opportunity to know the guys who have the same idea with them. They can share their joys and tears during the movement, and encourage each other when they are misunderstood by the majority.

Surely, the training will improve the students' abilities that are crucial to our work, such as communication, the acquaitance with some related regulations, etc.
