THE OFFICE OF GREEN STONE
Our
office, funded by GGF(global greengrant fund) locates in the SuoJinYiCun
8# 217,Nanjing,Jiangsu. Computer and telephone are equipped for
routine affairs, such as keeping contact with environmental groups
and individules, updating our website, editing our newsletters
and even having meets there.
And it is also an exhibition
room for the books concerning environmental issues some of which
were purchased by the fund of GGF and environmental groups, the
rest were donated by our volunteers.
Our office, now is becoming
a communion center of environmental youth in the area. The board
of greenstone gather there periodically to disscuss our work.
For every weekend there would be some students on duty, youth
can visit the office freely for some reading or information.
It is a campaign sponsored
by green student forum in beijing first. The bookshelf is a good
fanshion to broadcast the green mind on the campus. At the same
time, the resources can be shared by numous groups and individules.
That is why it is so prevail among green students.
The first green bookshelf in NanJing was
set up by Green Belt the environmental protection society in SouthEast
University. Now the libraries in China Pharmaceutical University,
NanJing Forestry University also began their work on the transmission
of green mind.
As greenstone is a platform
of local environmental force, the communication between each other
is one of the essences in our work.
Now **universities are enrolled in our contact
list, not only the ones in JiangSu Province but the groups in
AnHui also.
