REVIEW IN 2001 OF
CHINESE LUEHDORFIA BUTTERFLY PROTECTION

  With the help of many friends, the campaign to save the Chinese Luehdorfia Butterfly----"HELP ME FLY" drew to its end successfully.
The following is a brief review of the activity.

The acitivity includes three sections:
    1. The cruise exhibition of the posters concerning the butterfly in the universities
    2. The lecture titled " Chinese Luehdorfia Butterfly and the ecosystem it relays on " in some universities
    3. Field eco-investigation in the NiuShou Shan Gifu butterfly nature reserve: observe the Gifu in nature, distinguish wild creatures, play games that are prevail in the western environmentalists.

* The cruise exhibition of the posters concerning the butterfly in the universities
    The posters were made by GreenBelt----the enviromental protection group from SouthEast University(SEU).
    Specified arrangment:
        March 12th (Mon)     the pukou campus of SEU
        March 13th (Tue)     the pukou campus of NanJing University(NJU)
        March 14th (Wed)     the campus of NanJing Populace Management College
        March 15th,16th (Thu,Fri)     the root campus of SEU
    We appealed the government's more supports with our proposal and the collection of the signatures of students in NJU, NanJing Agricultural University, NanJing Medical University, the University of Science and Industry in NanJing, NanJing Normal University, where the cruise had settled.

* The lecture titled " Chinese Luehdorfia Butterfly and the ecosystem it relays on " in some universities
    March 13th (Tue) NanJing Populace Management College lecturer: WuQi the member of Chinese Biodiversity Protection Society
    March 14th (Wed) the root campus of SEU lecturer: Zhang Songkui the member of Chinese Entomology Society, the curator of butterfly museum in NanJing Youth Palace.

* Field eco-investigation in the NiuShou Shan Gifu butterfly nature reserve
March 31st (Sat)
    8:00 am. gather at the start stop of XinShan route in the YangPi Alley near XinJieKou

* Based on this investigation, we made a report involved the outcomes by WuQi's years research and submitted to the government section related.

PS: 1. Income from the sale of butterfly photos and cards, taken out the expense in the activity, will be donored to the protection of Chinese Luehdorfia Butterfly.
        2. The money was raised by GreenBelt. We strive to be transparency and fair through negotiation. We need your understand if there is anything we omitted in the process. And donation are welcome!
