THE LIFE TIME OF THE CHINESE LUEHDORFIA

【Ecology】 One time occurrence a year. It passes the winter in the chrysalis, and generally occurs in early April. It almost corresponds to the flowering time of the Asarum forbesii of that land in the level ground.
Eggs on the leaves
Right after laying, green white. A surface is smooth. An egg term is about two weeks.
Larva-1
A caterpillar hates direct sunlight. It may quickly disappear at the strong light, whcih maks photographing quite difficult.
Larva-2
Always hidden under the leaves, the discovery of the chrysalis outside the field is thought a difficulty.
Imago
It is a Class II state protection animal, accroding to the law in China.
Pupa
It passes the winter in the chrysalis.
Asarum forbesii
The plants larve feeds on.
